My name is Tonya Hasty, and I have been helping people with their healthcare needs for 17 years. I started as an RN in 2006 and then went on to obtain my bachelor’s degree in nursing, I later obtained a Master of Science in nursing with a concentration in family nurse practitioner from South College where I graduated Summa Cum Laude. I also have a legal nurse certification, community health certification, and I am trained in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, and pediatric advanced life support. My experience includes acute care, emergency nursing, intensive care nurse management, invasive cardiac nursing, project management, and community outreach. I am dually certified as a family nurse practitioner by ANCC and AANP.
After I started practicing, I became very interested in holistic care, so I took a class in weight management and functional medicine. My family and I have struggled with weight our entire lives, which led me to pursue my passion in helping people lead healthier lifestyles. I have been working at a Rural Health Clinic for the past two years as program manager for outreach. In November God provided an opportunity for me to open my own part time practice only a few miles from my home. My business has been blessed beyond measure since opening and I am excited to continue helping people optimize their health and wellness in the future.
I do not accept insurance for visits, but I am able to bill insurance for lab work. I do accept cash, check, credit, debit, flexible spending, and health care spending cards.
